Artists recognized and a Thank you

To those of you returning, welcome back! If this is your first time visiting, glad you found your way here! I apologize for the late timing of my post today. Since starting our new path of becoming vegans, I’m cooking EVERYTHING! Which takes a lot more time preparing meals during the day and time gets away from me. If you saw my tweet today, you saw one of the necessary items that are absolutely necessary in a vegans home,…BANANAS! We use them in place of eggs and oil in recipes. Also, making homemade ice-cream, deserts etc. Anyway, its been quite the educational experience in becoming vegan and I have found it to be surprisingly…easy! I’d recommend anyone toying with the idea in becoming vegan to watch “Forks Over Knives”. Besides a few other documentaries, this was the one show that convinced me completely in changing my life style. I’d love to hear from anyone who is on the same path as us and how you’re adjusting. I’ll talk some more in future blogs regarding our choice in becoming vegan and how it’s going.
As for my promise of this weeks blog, I’d like to introduce you to two very talented artists I’ve come across: One at my current job and another through Twitter.
The first is an artist by the name of Pamela Penney. She is a Textile Artist and I came across her artwork at my workplace where our hospital showcases local artists and hangs their artwork for workers and visitors to see. Her work is beautifully unique. I encourage you to visit her website at to view her work. If you live in the Oak Park, Illinois area, she also teaches classes and gives lessons in Art. Please show your support for this very talented artist by dropping by her site and sharing with others in your social media circles.
The second artist is an author by the name of Kellie Steele. I came across Kellie on Twitter when she followed me. Following back, I visited her website and was intrigued by her novel, White Ghost and the Poison Arrow. I’ve always loved American Indian culture and stories and was impressed that she was also nominated for the Metamorph Publishing’s First Annual Summer Indie Book Awards. I am placing her book on my ‘must read’ list and will be looking forward to reading it. Please show your support by visiting her website at

Thank you to everyone for showing me your continued support in this past year. I’ve had over 58,000 hits to my website as of today and have had an impressive list of Twitter followers, including a few Producers and Directors both in the States and from overseas, including the U.K.! I am “patiently” awaiting word from my publisher regarding the last round of edits/revisions I sent in October. As soon as I hear something, you’ll be the first to know.
Til next week…
E.V. Jones
