Happy New Year. Thank you for visiting my first blog for 2018. As promised, I’d like to start by showcasing a local artist who I stumbled upon when researching for book 3 of Cloverleaf Chronicles. Truth be told, I tend to veer away from tasks at hand, and that is exactly what happened this time. Don’t ask me how I ended up finding this artist, it just happened. Anyway, the artist that caught my eye was Shelley Timm-Thompson. I think what I love so much about her paintings is that there are no clear, defined lines in her paintings. It feels like I’m looking into someone’s dreams. They also remind me of paintings I used to see hanging in my elementary school hallways so of course they raised a sense of nostalgia for me. The colors are soft and the pictures have a beautiful sense of “peace”. If you get a chance, I encourage you to visit her website at http://www.shelleytimmthompson.com/landscapes and show your support by sharing her information with others in your social media circles.
My Fall season and start of Winter has been busy between author visits and my own children’s band. If you’ve follow me on instagram or Facebook, you’ll have seen that my kids have kept quite busy with mini-tours, local concerts, etc. I’m still working on Book 3 of Cloverleaf Chronicles and heard back from my publisher that The Wish’s e-book release was pushed back to Winter/Spring. So I’ll keep you updated as I hear from them. I’ve had a wonderful year and am looking forward to 2018! I can’t wait to present Alyssa Alvin Foundation for Hope with my final donation to their organization with my January check. In an effort to continue to ‘pay it forward’, for 2018, I’ve chosen to donate 100% of proceeds earned in book sales to St. Jude’s Hospital. This is a remarkable hospital that doesn’t ask for one penny from the families whose children are being treated. I truly believe in their cause which is why I’m asking for your support for 2018 and ask that you pass my information along to anyone and everyone you know. The more people who know of and share information on The Wish with others, the more I can help St. Jude’s. Please show your support by sharing my information and encouraging those you know to purchase a copy today. Everyone can help make a difference in another persons life, and with your help, together we can support children and their families who are in desperate need of hope and help during the most difficult times of their lives.
My hope for the coming year is that you follow your dreams while extending a hand to help others. Thank you for visiting and I hope to see you in the coming issues of my blog.
Until next time….
