Have had a few really nice responses to the website. Thanks to all you well wishers! Thought you would like to get to know a little bit about me. I’ve been married for 18 years to my best friend and am a mom of six children, ages seven to fifteen. For those who say “you lose your kids once they become teenagers”, I don’t get this remark. I currently have two teenagers, one boy and one girl. And they are wonderful. They are witty, funny, sarcastic and can take a joke. I love watching my kids develop into wonderful adults. As for my professional life, I work primarily weekends as a Nursing Supervisor, which gives me the weekdays to write between grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning the house and cooking. I also started a Young Authors Club (otherwise known as Y.A.C)at my children’s elementary school which I hold every Monday after school. This is my third year doing it there and I just started Y.A.C. at Mooseheart on Tuesdays after school with the High School girls. I absolutely love working with kids and giving them a creative outlet.
Writing has always been a creative outlet of mine for as long as I can remember. I’m hoping my story, The Wish, can encourage and inspire both the children I work with and those that read my book, to never give up on a dream. Anything is possible with perseverance. As the release of The Wish begins to draw near,(which is late 2015/ early 2016), booking of my visits will begin. If you or anyone you know is interested in an authors visit, please visit my site to request a visit. My plan is to do authors visits to requesting schools free of charge as long as I possibly can, as I have a very strong belief that money for education should be kept in the school. Thank you all for visiting with me once again and if you have any questions or comments, please send them and I will be sure to answer by my next blog date. My plan is to post my blogs a couple of times a week. Til next time….Keep your dreams alive and may all your wishes come true!
