Another week has gone by and it feels like the days are getting away from me! I can’t believe it’s already November! Now that my edits of my galley copy are in, I can focus more on the marketing of the release of, The Wish, which will hopefully be getting wrapped up and released in the Spring, 2016! Some good news, I have booked another authors visit at a school in Kaneland in December for an evening of writing with elementary school students as well as I was invited back to Geneva Middle School South for a special WEEK called “genius week”. This is an incredible idea one of the Middle School teachers teams thought up and asked that I be a part as a guest author. I’m still booking pre-publication author visits, so if you know of anyone interested in having me attend their school, library or social function, give them my website information and they can contact me through there!
Now, as promised, I have a couple more amazing artists that deserve the recognition in their art.
The first is Matt Kellen. Matt happens to be the oldest son of my children’s piano teacher, David Kellen. David recently posted his performance on YouTube and I was blown away by his playing the drums. Having a daughter myself who plays drums, I have come to appreciate the art of drumming and would love for you to show your support by visiting his YouTube site. If you are so inclined, he apparently can be booked for gigs. Please show your support by visiting his YouTube performance at YouTube, “what about me?” Snarky Puppy, Matt Kellen. I think you’ll be amazed at his talent.
Another talented artist is Paul Hollis, author of The Hollow Man. Now, while I’ve not read the book yet, I came across his book trailer and am putting it on my Christmas list as “must read!”. It is described as a “must read thriller”. I feel I haven’t done much justice lately in recognizing the authors out there. Paul is described as an award-winning, best seller of this suspense/thriller/mystery. The cover alone is intriguing and I’m excited to get my hands on this one!
Here’s hoping everyone has a wonderful weekend!
Next week I’ll be discussing how I’ve been able to work with students in helping them develop their writing skills!
Til next week…
