Hi Everyone! Well, it’s been a crazy week! Since hearing from my publisher that the release date for The Wish is for St. Patrick’s Day, my family and I have been working hard to make this a successful launch. So far, I’ve booked with three schools for author visits/book signings. I spoke with our local public library and they are having me do an author visit in July, we are prepping for BEA/BookCon that will take place at McCormick place the week of Wednesday, May 11 thru Saturday May 14 and I spoke with Barnes & Noble at our Geneva Commons for a book signing to take place in April or May. They are going to get back with me on what’s available. Finally, I have my first public venue book signing at (appropriately enough) the Claddaugh, an Irish restaurant/pub in the Geneva Commons. I’ll be autographing books on Friday, March 18th from 4:30-7:00P. They have Irish festivities all week through the Sunday, March 20th. I’m pretty excited. If any of you are in the area, I’d love to see you! You will be the first to get an autographed copy of The Wish and you might as well stay for something to eat and a drink. They have wonderful food!
I ordered books through my publisher for the private venue signings and they are to be delivered by next Wednesday or Thursday. Once I have books in hand, I can then head over to the independent book stores and try to entice them to carry my title. I’m both mentally and physically exhausted but excited at the same time. Thank you so very much for everyone that has sent messages of encouragement throughout this whole process. Many of you have stuck by my side, shared my website, my new book trailer and my story. My husband is working this whole weekend to do a revamping of my website. I’ll let you know when it has been changed. In the meantime, you can still visit the site as he’ll be working “behind the scenes”. But if there are any glitches that doesn’t allow you on, please have patience.
Til next time…
