My Wish and Favorite Things List

With Christmas just a couple of days away, I wanted to get my blog posted early, knowing time would probably get away from me. Last week I was supposed to post this blog, and that is exactly what happened….time got away from me! So, I figure I’d get a head start this week. As mentioned in my previous blog, here is my 2nd annual Christmas, “These are a few of my favorite things” post. Some may be the same as last year, but I think I have a few new favorites. I love connecting with my followers and let them know things about me that others would not normally know. In addition, at the end of my post, I’ve shared what I would do if I had one wish. Putting aside the wishes most make for, world peace, no war, no hunger, no child suffering, etc., because of course, don’t we all want that? Instead, I shared what I would do if I had the monetary means. So, let’s get started…..

Favorite Color: Orange
Favorite Season: Fall
Favorite Dinner: Charlie Fox double dough cheese pizza here in Geneva!
Favorite snack: As of recent, cut up apple with a side of pretzels.
Favorite thing to do in my free time: Escape in a REALLY good book
Favorite drink: COFFEE!
Favorite animal: I don’t really have one favorite. I have a love for owls and squirrels
Favorite movies: Cartoon is “Meet the Robinsons”, Christmas Movie is “It’s a Wonderful Life”, and I think my favorite “general movie” is “Bourne Identity” series
Favorite vacation: our trip to California this past summer
Favorite Actor: Will Ferrel

If someone were to come up to me and say, “Hey, if you had the chance to do just one thing with your life, what would that be?” I’d immediately respond with a dream my husband and I have always talked about. We have ALWAYS wanted to open a School For The Arts for kids who have talents, but not the means to develop them. The ultimate topper would be to have a home for kids (Kind of like a foster home), for any child who is need of a family, and have this School Of The Arts connected to it. The idea of providing a family environment for kids that don’t have that, as well as being able to offer the arts, would be a dream come true! We would offer arts of all avenues including, writing, painting, sculpting, acting, music, movie making, etc., and have professionals in all those areas be the Masters Teachers.
Having the ability to positively impact a young person’s life, I think, is one of the most important things we can do for our children and our future.
No matter how you celebrate this holiday season, my wish is that each of you find the time to do one random act of kindness for someone and show that we CAN be kind to one another!
Have a Wonderful Christmas!
Til next week….
