Plans for 2017

Hi All! For those returning, welcome back. And for you newcomers, thanks for stopping by! I was sitting with my family over the holiday break, talking about how we’d like to see 2017 play out. As you may know, my kids have a band called Summer Monkeys and they are setting up a plan to get their name out there. As for me, I’ve been contemplating my options on where I should most focus. Another BookCon? Register for Writers Digest Conference or go to any conference I feel could benefit my getting The Wish into the hands of more readers? I’ve never really been one for New Years Resolutions, but I do like plans. Book number 2 is complete and I want to start thinking about getting that out on the shelves. I’ve contacted my publisher to hear their thoughts on book number two, and am just waiting to hear back from them. We’re also looking to the summer as well, and may be planning a dual tour, (Summer Monkeys tour with a book tour). There are definitely a few options we need to consider, and now is the time for bookings for the Spring/Summer. I’ll keep you posted on our final decision.

Requests have continued to come in for author visits at local schools and if you know of any teachers out there that would like for me to visit their school/classroom, please forward my name onto them. My visits are free and they really have nothing to lose. I have collected a good amount of testimonials from the teachers of the schools I’ve visited so far, and all have been rave reviews. Finally, I’ll be reaching out to more Barnes and Nobles in hopes of doing book signings beyond my local borders. I’m looking to 2017 to be a productive, exciting year for me and my family. I ask that you continue to share my site and information in all of your social media circles. Word of mouth truly is the best way of getting my information out there into the hands of teachers/educators, libraries, book stores, etc.

So that’s it in a nutshell. Please stop by next week where I’ll be showcasing another amazing artist (or two)
Til next week…
